HCC names Kimberly Lowry associate vice chancellor, student engagement and success

Houston Community College will soon have a new associate vice chancellor, student engagement and success. Kimberly M. Lowry has been named to the position and will join HCC Sept. 4, 2018.
Lowry currently serves as associate vice president for academic affairs and student success at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas. At Eastfield, Lowry has been responsible for providing leadership and oversight to all student service areas, as well as educational partnerships and guided pathways.
“We are excited that Kimberly Lowry will be joining our HCC family,” says Athos Brewer, vice chancellor of student services. “Kimberly brings many years of college-level experience in areas of advising, career services, student engagement, dual credit, veteran services, registration, and disability services.”
Lowry received her doctorate in higher education from the University of North Texas. She earned a master’s in counseling and a bachelor’s in psychology from California State University, Long Beach.
