Aug 2, 2018
A Houston Community College associate vice chancellor has been appointed to the Commission on Structured Pathways for the American Association of Community Colleges. Frances Villagran-Glover, associate vice chancellor for special programs and success, will serve on the commission until June 2021.
The role of the commission is to focus on strategies that will expand community college pathways for students across systems, states and the nation.
“HCC has made tremendous strides in developing a network of integrated support and instructional programs that will help students save time and money,” Villigran-Glover says. “Our goal is to enhance the student experience through purposeful approaches. As a member of the commission, I look forward to contributing to the growth of clear pathways for all students.”
The AACC is the primary advocacy organization for the nation’s community colleges. The association represents nearly 1,200 two-year, associate degree-granting institutions and more than 12 million students.
