HCC to host YMCA Back to School Bash on August 4

Houston Community College has partnered with the Northeast Family YMCA to host a “Back to School Bash” to celebrate the new school year and promote educational opportunities offered by HCC.

The event will include HCC fall registration assistance and information about careers in public safety, oil and gas, energy and transportation, as well as resources provided by the YMCA, We See Abilities and This Woman’s Work.

Former Houston Texans player Wade Smith, retired NBA players Alex Sanders, Lorenzo Johnson and Reggie Dixon of the Harlem Globetrotters, Rodney McCray and Thomas Henderson of the Houston Rockets and Mel Hughlett of the Seattle Supersonics will be on hand to sign autographs and offer sports tips to youth.
