The day's report features a look at the recent ESOL/English Interdisciplinary Symposium titled "Transitions” Going from Zero to Sky’s the Limit," which was held at the HCC West Loop Campus. The purpose of the event was to discuss the literacy needs of multilingual students and ways to improve their English-learning experience. Dr. Maggie Sokolik, the Director of College Writing Programs at the University of California Berkeley, served as the keynote speaker.
