‘Resurrection’ by Kentra Gilbert opens at HCC Northline Gallery

The HCC Northeast Art Gallery and Student Life Department in collaboration with the Visual & Performing Arts Center of Excellence will commemorate Black History Month with an opening reception and exhibit titled Resurrection featuring Houston artist Kentra Gilbert at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 at the Northline Campus.

Gilbert’s work features geometric pattern paintings on canvas and wood with various types of acrylic paint.

She uses colors and shapes to create optical illusions and what she describes as a beautiful deception. Students, faculty, staff and the community are invited to visit the HCC Northline Art Gallery to view the exhibit that runs through February 26.
