HCC women's basketball team wins NIRSA regional championship

The HCC women's basketball team won the National Intramural Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA) Region 4 Tournament, held March 23-25 at Texas A&M University.

The Eagles posted a 5-0 record in the tournament and placed three players on the all-tournament team: Valarie Hunter, Tayire Holcombe and Sarah Mgbeike, who was named tournament MVP.

The NIRSA Region 4 covers a seven state area.
