Five HCC artists win city grants

Congratulations to five HCC COE Visual and Performing Art members: Clara Hoag, Masumi Kataoka, Kelli Vance, Sarah Welch and Laura Harrell. Clara, Masumi and Kelli are currently adjunct art instructors, Sarah is the Exhibition Coordinator at Southeast, Laura Harrell is an adjunct dance instructor.

Each of these talented artists are recipients of the 2017 Artist Grant from the Houston Arts Alliance, a grant program that supports the development and presentation of new artistic works to help advance our city's reputation as a cultural destination and vibrant creative hub.

The Center of Excellence for Visual and Performing Art is proud that we have such an outstanding and committed collection of artists who have joined us to share their talent and passion with our students.
