HCC to hold town hall meeting for new STEM facility at Felix Fraga Academic Campus

In an effort to answer the call for more classroom space and enhanced facilities, Houston Community College continues to make progress on its $425 million Groundbreaker Bond Program. On Feb. 24, HCC will hold a town hall meeting for the new Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) facility at the HCC Southeast Felix Fraga Academic Campus.

The $16 million, 36,400-square-foot building will include lab spaces, classroom spaces, a Maritime Center, lounge, computer classroom, faculty workroom, offices and library. HCC and Jacobs Program Management will present campus project drawings, introduce the project team, and answer community questions. Information and discussions will focus on the improvements to the campus where the meeting is being held.

HCC’s Groundbreaker Bond Program is a capital improvement program involving 14 projects across all six colleges, adding state-of the-art instructional buildings, parking garages and significant updates to existing buildings as well as new technologies to meet student needs, especially in high-demand areas such as health sciences, as well as science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.
