Chinh Vuong, a Houston Community College Interior Design student, was recently hosted by the Houston delegation of NEWH, The Hospitality Industry Network, at the NEWH Leadership Conference and Product Showcase in Dallas.

The two-day event kicked off with the Product Showcase followed by inspirational speakers, immersive panel discussions, a roundtable session and strategic networking events.

“This is truly a new experience as the conference allowed me to not only learn about other successful designers, but to also connect to others in the field, and how they got to where they are now through their stories and experience,” Vuong said. “I highly recommend anyone in the interior design hospitality field to attend this conference.”

NEWH is an international non-profit organization with a mission to raise scholarship funds for deserving students pursuing careers in the hospitality industry in areas of Interior Design, Architecture, Culinary Arts and Hotel and Restaurant Management. The Leadership Conference is NEWH’s most anticipated international event that attracts hundreds of leading hospitality professionals from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

“Chinh had the opportunity to network with other students, but more importantly, with design professionals from Houston and beyond, giving him potential opportunities for internship or future career possibilities,” said Alison Sparer, NEWH Houston president.
