Jul 31, 2015

The Houston Community College Governors Merit STEM Summer Program continues to provide students with unbelievable opportunities. Tenth and 11th grade students from the Houston area got to interact with marine biologists from the NOAA and the animals in their care.

Students were bused to the NOAA Fisheries Galveston Laboratory, where they used science to identify certain species of fish. They learned about the biology of sea turtles and the techniques used in preserving the endangered species.
