HCC Foundation awards two new Workforce Scholarships

During the recent HCC Foundation Board Meeting on September 4, the Fulfilling the Dream and Welcome Home Veterans Workforce Scholarships were awarded funds in support of students pursuing careers in "middle skills" job opportunities. The Fulfilling the Dream Workforce Scholarship will provide a $500 scholarship to students in both credit and non-credit Workforce programs.  

The Welcome Home Veterans Workforce Scholarship will provide a scholarship for full tuition for Veterans who are either no longer able to receive government funding or cannot use government funding to pursue educational endeavors in both credit and non-credit workforce programs.  

The HCC Foundation Board awarded $5,000 to the Welcome Home Veterans Scholarship and $10,000, an increase from the original ask of $5,000, to the Fulfilling the Dream Workforce Scholarship. The Foundation Board is very committed to serving the students of HCC and believes that the new scholarships in support of workforce programs will help HCC students fill the workforce skills gap.
