Fall at HCC is about to start! Some important reminders

Dear HCC Eagle,

We are so excited to welcome you (or welcome you back) to HCC for the Fall 2020 semester! We are committed to doing everything we can to help ensure this semester is a success for you, despite the challenging times we find ourselves in. We’ve put together a Fall 2020 Student Toolkit which we strongly recommend you read ASAP.

As a reminder, the start to this semester will look a little different than previous semesters. Here’s what you need to know (you can also read more here).

Monday, August 24 – Start of the Fall

All classes will meet remotely for the first six weeks, regardless of the learning option(s) you selected when you enrolled. You will use Eagle Online to access all courses during this time. For technical support on accessing Eagle Online, click here.

• For Flex Campus and Lab-based courses, this means classes will meet at the times and dates you enrolled in, but class will be held online.
• Online on a Schedule and Online Anytime courses are not impacted because they are already online only courses.

• Online on a Schedule courses will meet online at the dates and times you enrolled in, all semester long.
• Online Anytime courses will be accessed online and completed throughout the semester whenever it works best for you.

Monday, October 5 – In-person instruction begins for select classes

In-person instruction for Flex Campus and Lab-based courses will begin on October 5.

• In-person class sizes will be restricted to no more than nine students per class.
• Everyone will be required to follow safety protocols while on campus, including wearing face coverings and passing individual screenings.
• Decisions about any support and student services re-opening for in-person access will be made closer to October 5.

As we get closer to October 5, we will share updates with our students in Flex Campus and Lab-based courses so you are ready to continue your courses as we start to introduce in-person instruction.
