General Information/Questions
General Questions
What if I have concerns about the coronavirus?
HCC has a useful COVID-19 page with details on how to stay healthy, and what to do if you think you may have been exposed to the virus or if you are sick.
Will I be able to receive a refund of my tuition if I choose to drop my class(es) due to the change to an online class?
At this time, HCC is not changing policies and procedures around dropping courses or refunds of tuition. Please review the instructions on withdrawing from the HCC website here:
Will workstudy students be allowed to continue working if the college closes or if classes move to an online format?
Federal work-study students will be paid consistent with federal guidance (currently relaxed to support dealing with COVID-19) and their existing work study schedule in case of a closure. Appropriate payment protocol will be followed for off-campus work-study students when/if their assigned agency closes. Students with Work Study jobs should not report to work on Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24th. This includes both on and off-campus work-study students. Expect to receive further information from your supervisor.
What should I do if I have basic needs questions or need resources?
Please contact a Counselor if you have basic needs questions or need access to resources. HCC will be providing access for students to the Eagle Markets and Mobile Food Distribution services.
