HCC Southeast College President named 2016 Female Executive of the year by Houston East End Chamber of Commerce

The Houston East End Chamber of Commerce and Houston Community College continue their years-long partnership that works to build a strong, qualified workforce that helps businesses grow, while serving the needs of residents and students in the East End.

Together, the industry can strengthen pipelines between schools, community, and industry so that the students in the East End are well prepared for the job opportunities that exist right here and right now.

EECOC recognized Dr. Irene Porcarello, President of Southeast College, as the 2016 Female Executive awardee during its East End Celebration: Honoring Our East End Heroes.

This award was presented to Dr. Porcarello for her leadership in the East End Community and is the first to be given in this category. Other East End Heroes awards went to Robert “Chip” Gross, Regional Public Affairs Director for Valero Houston Refinery and to the Port of Houston, both industry partners with HCC- SE.
