HCC holds Fall Registration open house for prospective students
Jun 3, 2016
The Houston Community College West Loop Campus Fall Registration Kick-Off event got students on the right track towards jump-starting their future. The two-hour event encouraged them to think about signing up for the classes they need – before those classes fill up.
This one-stop shop allowed students to learn about the hundreds of courses and programs, ask questions about enrollment and get assistance registering for the summer and/or fall sessions. Students also got the chance to win a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card to use in the HCC Bookstore.
Prospects enjoyed food, games and goodies from promotional tables set up by Student Services, Career Planning, Digicomm, Public Relations and various other departments. The HCC Digital and Information Technology Center of Excellence highlighted the eight programs offered which include Mobile and Web Applications and Cybersecurity.
The West Loop and Stafford Campuses will see an influx of new students in the coming months. The Missouri City campus at Sienna Plantation is closed and will relocate to a new location on Texas Parkway. The new HCC Missouri City Center for Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Health is projected to open fall 2017.
Fall classes begin Monday, August 22. The deadline to register is Sunday, August 21.
