HCC Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses graduate lands on two prestigious lists

An alumna of the Houston Community College (HCC) Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program (GS10KSB) owns one of the fastest growing companies in the country. NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care has made the Houston Business Journal’s “Fast 100 List” and the 2016 Inc. 5000 ranking.
Led by CEO Zawadi Bryant, NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care offers healthcare services specifically for children. Through developing close relationships with primary care physicians, NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care provides young ones what they need when a medical emergency occurs after office hours, including weekends and holidays. The company is also the only minority-owned and woman-owned business of its kind in the market.
Bryant was a member of Cohort 5 of the HCC GS10KSB program and graduated in 2012. She learned how to map out a growth plan and identify the major obstacles to that growth.
“I learned through the HCC GS10KSB program that I had to work on the business and not in it,” said Bryant. “We hired key personnel and solidified our values and culture. This allowed me to spend time outside of the business building relationships and partnerships as well as getting out of the day to day operations. I highly recommend the program for any business that desires to scale and grow!”
Today Bryant’s company has had a three-year sales growth of 157 percent and has expanded from two to five locations since it opened in 2007.
This is the first year NightLight appears on the “Fast 100 List” and the third straight year on the Inc. 5000- placing number 2306 on the Inc. 5000.
