Fast Eagle Service Kiosk lands at HCC
Aug 29, 2016
A new high-tech tool at Houston Community College (HCC) will make registering for classes and searching for items like financial aid information a little easier. Fast Eagle Service Kiosks are being installed at all three Southwest College campuses with the hopes of expanding the easy-to-use service districtwide.
The Fast Eagle Service Kiosk allows students to log into the HCC self-service system to quickly retrieve information. The machine does not replace processing documentation or meeting with a student service specialist; however, it will be beneficial when lines are long.
“The kiosk is a good tool to triage student, troubleshoot problems, and cut the line down in the student services area,” said HCC Southwest Enrollment Services Officer Afrah Hassan. “It is designed for quick and easy fixes such as: finding a forgotten student ID number, resetting a password, looking up online degree plans, and signing up for classes. Hopefully it will help ease frustrations and improve the student experience.”
The iPad-like touchscreen devices are located on the first floor across from the admissions window. Students can use the kiosk for a variety of functions such as: registering for classes, making a payment(s), viewing test scores, searching financial aid information, locating an academic advisor, and much more.
