Students from the HCC Governor’s Merit STEM Summer camp demonstrated a culmination of their work at an exhibition at the West Loop Campus Auditorium. Tenth and 11th graders from Houston area put together various displays that gave a look into problems they solved, while studying science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) throughout the month of July.
Hands on experience gave students unique opportunities to learn in the field as they visited NASA, the Houston Health Museum, the Houston Methodist Research Institute and the NOAA in Galveston.
The classroom also held undertakings for these future scientists and engineers to tackle head on and learn from. Some of the activities included: building and programming robots, studying marine life and learning forensic science.
