 Houston Community College did its part in saving lives thanks to its participation in the Be the Match Bone Marrow Registration Drive. Be the Match, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding bone marrow donors for patients with blood cancer, turned to HCC for its diverse population.

HCC is the No. 1 college in the nation when it comes to international students, which made it the perfect spot for Be the Match to look for minority bone marrow donors. Those donors are in need the most, according to the organization. HCC rose to the occasion, registering 106 donors at the West Loop, Stafford, Missouri City and Gulfton Campuses.
