 Houston Community College Chancellor Dr. Cesar Maldonado joined the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics and committed to invest in the education of Hispanic students. This goal is to serve over 350,000 students in the Houston area. 

The latest art exhibition at the West Loop Art Gallery, titled One or Two or More, features the ceramic work of local artist Natasha Hovey. The displays in the exhibit were inspired by science at the cellular level, and Hovey uses her sculptures to bring microscopic topics to full display.
