HCC International Student Orientation draws hundreds of students

The Houston Community College Office of International Student Services and Study Abroad hosted hundreds of international students at the Fall 2015 International Student Orientation on Friday, Aug. 7 at the Bayou City Event Center.

Students received valuable information on the following topics: maintaining F-1 Visa status, obtaining a driver’s license, employment, cultural adjustment, safety and security, immigration laws, health insurance coverage, tax information, Social Security and academic requirements.

According to a 2014 report by the Institute of International Education, HCC has the largest international enrollment of any community college in the country.
