HCC and Houston Dynamo partnership shines during game

Among the sea of orange at BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston Community College staffers distributed information and orange wristbands to Houston Dynamo fans as they prepared to cheer the home team on against Sporting Kansas City. Houston Dynamo Executive Vice President Steven Powell dropped by the HCC booth to show his support for the partnership between HCC and the Dynamo.

“We love the relationship with HCC,” Powell said. “We’re in a position where we are encouraging people to go out there and get their education. We’re encouraging people who are out of high school or may have gone to college and went back into the workforce to go to HCC and further themselves and go back into the workplace again.”

HCC volunteers handed out information and answered questions from potential and former students about registration, college locations, classes offered, and transferring credits. In addition to the giveaways and information, HCC provided fun games for participants to win additional prizes.
