Community Connections: HCC Southwest partners with businesses in Stafford’s growing valve industry

The City of Stafford is often referred to as an “Island of Business Opportunity” with no property taxes.

Houston Community College Southwest recognizes this gem of a community and has teamed up with city officials and Stafford area businesses to create opportunities in the growing valve manufacturing industry.

HCC is training workforce-ready candidates across the Houston area and is committed to meeting the needs of the thriving community. Project leaders hope to have an advisory council in place by Spring 2015 to develop a curriculum and identify a training facility on the HCC Southwest Stafford Campus.
